“NASCAR and INEX sanctioned oval racetrack”
The Waterford Speedbowl, in Waterford, CT, is a 3/8 mile paved NASCAR and INEX sanctioned oval racetrack open weekly April thru October, that plays host to several Northeast touring divisions to facilitate exciting NASCAR stock car auto racing on Saturdays, affordable family entertainment on $8 Wild ‘n Wacky Wednesdays, and free admission to the Friday night car cruises with the only sanctioned weekly drag racing in Connecticut, all of that is highlighted with special family fun attractions that feature Trailer Racing, Demo Derbies, and additional thrilling surprises! Built in 1951 a few hundred yards from the busy Route 85 and Interstate I-395, the 3/8 mile ashpalt speedway in Waterford, CT is regarded by competitors as a challenging two-groove track with an outstanding racing surface. There are no bad viewing spots among the 7,500-plus seats while watching some of our divisions reach speeds of 100 mph plus.
