“Exact replica of the Munsters Mansion!”
The Munster Mansion is a replica of the house used in "The Munsters" 60's sitcom show. It has ben painstakenly recreated room by room, through watching and re-watching footage from the show. Many pieces in the house are from the show or exact matches of items from the show. This is a living work as each year more detail is added, and more items collected to make this as exact as it can be. It was a challenging project, as there were no plans or blueprints to go by. The house was completely designed by the use of the show footage. Though we do host events from time to time and the annual open house, this is not a open tourist attraction. We are only open the one time a year. Any other time is strictly by invitation. We do live here, just like you live in your place the rest of the year. Please respect our privacy as you would your neighbor. Hours: Gated private property visible from street.
Please note that this place is a private home, and is only occasionally open for open house, tours or events. Please check the website for info on these. If you do visit to view from the street please be very respectful. These awesome people have put a lot of time and effort into building this amazing place.
Overrated. Can't take photos inside the house and that is nowhere mentioned on their website or Facebook page. The staff or volunteers are way too rude and intentionally give misleading information. If I hadn't been able to get Pat Priest's autograph when we went I would have considered the whole trip a waste of time. The lines are well over an hour and a half long. Lines to get on the shuttle. Lines to get food. Lines for autographs. Lines to get in the house. Won't be going back.
