“one of Ohio's premier outdoor recreation preserves”
Caesar Creek State Park is one of the premier outdoor recreation and nature preserve areas in the state of Ohio. The seventy-nine hundred acre park offers a wide variety of recreational and educational opportunities. You can have an exciting week of boating and camping with your family, revel in the quite solitude of a deeply wooded hiking trail, or simply stand and enjoy the clear blue skies and crisp breeze of a growing meadow.Whatever you are looking for in an enjoyable outdoor experience, you can be sure to find it here at Caesar Creek State Park. We look forward to seeing you.
Beautiful hiking! Wear your hiking boots...the trails were SUPER MUDDY as of 4/16/2016. But no biggy if you're sportin' the correct footwear. Horse shoes falls was just a short hike from the trailhead, and it was a pleasant place to sit and listen to the rushing waters!
Very nice park excellent stop. Wish we could have seen more, weather moved in and got very wet to hike, we only had the one day, recommend!
Nice state park with lots of available hiking and boating. If you have a boat, there is a launch from here and lots of water to play on. Saw a lot of tube pulling, fishing, and some kayaks. The park has several short and one 11 mile hiking trail available to see the area. Power at the post was true and no issues. 100% DISABLED VETERANS CAMP FREE IN OHIO! You have to call the camp ground though to get this and not use Reserve America or Recreation.gov to get this. Learned it when we were staying there and know for next time. We would likely stay here again.
Caesars Creek is huge and you'll need your car to see all the places it has to offer! They have a campground, Nature Center, Pioneer Village, Archery Range, dam, gorge, beach and several lookouts and hiking trails. Most trail heads or the visitors center will have a map provided. I also attached a photo above.
