“from new products to small solutions”
IKEA offers a wide range of well-designed, functional home furnishing products at prices so low that as many people as possible will be able to afford them. This is the idea at the heart of everything IKEA does, from product development and purchases to how we sell our products in IKEA stores globally. Anybody can make a good-quality product for a high price, or a poor-quality product for a low price. But to make good products at low prices, you need to develop methods that are both cost-effective and innovative. This has been the focus of IKEA since its beginnings in Småland, Sweden Maximising the use of raw materials and production adaptation to meet people's needs and preferences has meant that our costs are low. The IKEA way of doing things is to pass these cost savings on to you, our customers.
I genuinely don't understand the attraction of IKEA. Yes, they have cost-effective furniture that is modern looking. Why do so many people obsess over it? It is furniture that you assemble yourself from instructions that resemble Lego instructions.
I will admit, they do have good kid-sized furniture. We picked up a table and some chairs that are the perfect size for my kids.
It's a normal IKEA. Cost efficient furniture that's great if your tight on space. I know you build it yourself but I've always found it to be better quality than Wal-Mart build it yourself furniture. We actually stopped in to fill some time on a rainy trip to Cincinnati. My 7 year old really enjoyed wandering around all the display rooms. Ended up spending so much time there that we just ate dinner in the cafe (I'm always a sucker for meatballs). They had toys set out around the cafe so my 1.5 year old was happy to be down and burn a little energy as well. Clean IKEA, friendly staff.
Great to have an IKEA in Cincinnati. I will sometimes grab lunch here as well, and always go with the meatballs. The coffee is actually pretty good, too
