“Distinctly thin crust: pizzeria in West Hartford, CT”
The first Luna Pizza restaurant opened on Franklin Avenue in Hartford, CT in 1989. Louis Termini the original owner offered a distinct thin crust pizza topped with fresh mozzarella, plum tomatoes and 100% Italian olive oil. The Franklin Avenue closed when Luna Pizza moved to West Hartford where it has been a neighborhood favorite for eleven years. In 2008 the family tradition of offering the best New York style pizza continues with the new owners of Luna Pizza West Hartford, Angie and Alex. Alex worked for his Uncle Louis at Luna Pizza for 15 years, starting as summer help when he was 16 and through his college years. After college, Alex returned and stayed with Luna Pizza, working in several other Luna locations in Connecticut and Massachusetts. Angie enjoyed a long successful career in publishing and now partners with her son Alex. Angie and Alex want people to enjoy great food in an informal and welcoming family atmosphere.
