“a larping good time!”

"Hark, adventurers! If online dragon slaying is getting old, there’s a magical sanctuary that aims to satisfy all your fantasy needs in real life. It’s called Wizard Quest, and it’s a 13,000 sq-ft labyrinth that’s been converted into a live-action adventure roll-playing game. In other words… it’s pure fantasy crack.  Located in Wisconsin Dells, Wizard Quest is a dream come true for anyone who ever wished they could, quite literally, dungeon crawl. Your job as fearless heroes is to traverse numerous dangerous and mystical landscapes on your quest to rescue 4 wizards held captive in the elemental realms. Once the game is afoot, groups of heroes slide into the four different realms to answer riddles. Only problem? They’re hidden, and it’s your job to thoroughly explore each realm in oder to uncover their secrets and free the trapped wizards. Your first task is located within the Earth Realm. After making your way across the giant spiderwebs, you’re challenged to cross the slide…err portal, which drops you into the Sky Realm, Fire Realm, Water Realm or…you get the drift. Remember to keep your eyes on the timer, because no hero wants the blood of a dead Wizard on their hands." -Roadtrippers When you and your brave fellowship have valiantly vanquished evil your prize is not only the knowledge that you’d totally whoop mystical ass in another dimension, but you presented with a magical coupon for 10% off at the Gnome Depot (aka the gift shop). You know you want that foam battle axe." Wizard Quest is the leader in computer interactive games played in a live setting. The setting is a 13000 square foot fantasy, themed labrynth (we call it the quadrasphere). Your quest is to locate and release the imprisoned wizards. To do this you must first collect enough glimmers to release them. You collect glimmers by answering the riddles and questions of the Dragons. The answers are found in the realms…some hidden, some obvious and some not so obvious. The quadrashpere is full of secret passages, hidden entrances and some traps. Yes there is an opposition here that doesn’t want you to free the Wizards. His name is Havoc, he and his minions do what they can to hinder your quest.off

This was the surprise hit of a cross country trip. Kind of a mixture of escape room and a scavenger hunt. Great stop to get some energy out for the kids with climbing, slides and tunnels to explore. It was even fun for us as adults! Our 10 yr old had a blast and the 3 yr old loved the climbing and exploring! I really recommend this to anyone looking for something to do as you pass through or even if you are visiting on a rainy day! Such a fun idea and even better execution!

This was a fun, unique attraction. The owner does all of the decorating and you can play a different quest every day if you want to go back. It's like a game and a playground wrapped into one. Staff are kind of apathetic and unhelpful for figuring out many of the clues or even explaining how to play. We figured it out quickly enough but it was still far too challenging for our children (and even ourselves). A word of advice, however, if you have younger children (mine are 7 and 3) definitely play the EASY version. We thought since we had four adults and three kids that between all of us we would be able to figure out all of the clues, but that was not the case. Instead we left with disappointed children and the wish we could have been smart enough to figure it out.

Fun adventure and scavenger hunt. You are given 90 minutes to find 4 wizards and release them. We tried the Medium Level and had some difficultly earning enough points to free the wizards. The place was filled with secret doors and puzzles that was very entertaining.

This place is really amazing to look at, as for the quests.....we gave up after 30 minutes of walking in circles and just explored all the spaces. It's not chunky person friendly in my opinion. My family had fun seeing everything and it is beautiful in there.

Surprised the kids with a stop here on a long road trip day. When we got there they thought it was going to be cheesy. But we all had a great time, from pre-teen through hard-to-please teenagers, and even the adults. Great fun.

My big kids LOVED this attraction. My youngest (3 years) was utterly terrified. The different realms are very cool, lots of hidden places to explore. The Dragon Quest was much harder than expected, though. We got hints to find three of the 4 dragons. I would absolutely go again, but wouldn’t bring the 3 year old.

So we have been fans of Magi Quest since we were in Mrytle Beach about 6 years ago. That location has since closed. We decided to give Wizard Quest a try because it seemed a similar concept. The decorating was very well done. The kindle we used was a little temperamental. There is no back button option you have to go back to home and back through the questions to get back to where you were in the chain of questions (kind of annoying). There are 4 wizards you are attempting to free. Once you get through the training portion of the questing which takes about 15 mins you are only given a 60 min time frame to find all 4 wizards. They tell you at the beginning that most people only find 1 or 2. So what they really want is for you to come back again however there is no way to save your progress so you would have to remember what quests you had completed. We were granted an extra 5 mins for finding the wizard that controls time but still were only able to free 2 wizards. I think 90-120 mins would be a more doable time frame or even give the option to buy more time if you would like to continue immediately but alas that wasn’t an option. All and all we had fun and it was a great stop in the Dells while on our road trip. I’d come back if we were in the area again.

Tougher than you might think! This is really for a young family, but we enjoyed it anyway :)
