“on oasis on the plains”
Boiling Springs State Park, an oasis on the plains, captures some of the finest elements of nature. The park is one of seven original state parks built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps and was named after a natural "boiling" spring that still flows. The park's namesake attraction is showcased in a natural wooden shelter and interpretive center below the park office. When visiting for the day, guests can stroll around the structure and learn more about the history of Boiling Springs State Park while taking in the nearby beauty, or turn your visit into an extended stay and spend the night in one of the park's four cabins. Wildlife is one of the many awe-inspiring features of the 820-acre park. Various species of animals dominate the area including whitetail deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, bobcats, beavers, badgers, rabbits, skunks and opossums. Four cabins, 40 RV sites and 12 tent campsites are available, as well as group camping. All campsites are available on a first come, first serve basis. Pets are allowed in all the cabins for a small fee. More than 150 picnic tables and grills are located throughout the park. Guests can access one of three pavilions, furnished with electrical outlets, a cookout grill and water. Visitors can also enjoy swimming in the pool, hiking the trails and fishing in the 7-acre spring-fed Shaul Lake. Your family will enjoy the quiet beauty of Boiling Springs State Park, where nature inspires vacation.

Nice campground, mature trees, nice swimming pool, but it was more expensive than the camping! Would be quite a hike to walk to the pool from any of the campgrounds. Bathhouse was fine. Camped mid August, mid week and the only ones there. Lots of stickers, lots of mosquitoes. Would rather stay at Alabaster caverns state park which isn't to far away. Good connection on Us cellular.

Site 14 w/in Whitetail CG apparently was getting repaved but there was no mention on the third party booking site for OK Parks.
We picked a different site using the Rangers help since when I logged back into the site , , it said my name and reservation number could not be found. There was little coverage so I used the open Wifi near the office.
At night there were birds chirping but I heard the train passing at dawn.
I would like people to support State Parks such as this, but it needs a concentrated effort to keep this large park that is in need of refurbishing.

We came here for the Labor Day weekend and it did not disappoint. Not a “thrills a minute” park. However, if you enjoy hiking, biking, relaxing or small lake fishing this is the place. We stayed in the full hook up section in the White Tail portion of the park. Bathrooms and showers very clean. Heavily patrolled by the park ranger. Lots of stickers in the grass so be mindful when you walk your dog. Some train noise but not bad. Couldn’t hear it in the camper.

We were the only ones in the Spring Hill Campground at Boiling Springs State Park, until late in the evening. There were three sites occupied at bedtime which was so very quiet for the evening. The restrooms and showers were clean and very nice. Beautifully kept grounds and park. I don't know that I would want to be there in the peak of summer camping season, but off season? Definitely a do over if and when we are back in the area.

The Boiling Spring was very interesting to see. There is lots of history and info shared throughout the park
Just know that the address listed takes you to the center of town and not the park. At least that is what happens if you use Google maps. Follow the signs. The bubbling brook is behind the rangers office. It was interesting and educational.
