“very cool Bomber-themed diner”
The restaurant's theme is tied to the B-24 bombers that were made during World War II at the nearby Willow Run bomber plant. But the restaurant has gone through years of transition before arriving at its current salute to the area's aviation history. The Bomber opened in 1936 as Baldwin's Diner. In the 1940s the name was changed to the Bomber; only to be discarded in favor of Bob's Barbecue in the mid- 1970s. Finally in 1986, the name Bomber returned and the current owner's John Sebestyen and Johanna McCoy purchased it in 1995.
Hello RoadTrippers from Team Bomber in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Thank you for writing your reviews about us! We sure appreciate it.
There's a history behind our place. It's where WWII Bomber airplane plant workers (Rosie The Riveters) would go for good food and family time. We're a mini-museum of photographs, relics, and aviation memories.
As you plan your travels, keep in mind we're a Midwestern morning kind of place: We're open 7AM to 3PM every day. Fresh coffee! Burgers cooked to order. FoodNetwork recognized our signature "Bomber Breakfast" as a top indulgence. We look forward to serving you RoadTrippers.

If you are in the area you need to go here. basic diner prices but nearly triple the amount. Most of the staff has been there for years and it is one of the few places they can make an egg the exactly to order. Food is fabulous.
