“The Pizza People come Home for!”
On February 18, 1958, Jimmy (Giacomo) Adornetto, age 19, along with the capable assistance of his mother and father, Phillip and Catherine Adornetto, began the operation of Adornetto's Pizzeria. Starting in a small building on North Maple Avenue, the Pizza Shop was only the fifth restaurant to open on the Maple Avenue stretch. Today, there are more than 50 eating establishments along this same area, with Adornetto's being one of the original two that are still family owned and operated. In over 40 years of doing business as Adornetto's Pizzeria there have been only minor changes to our menu. We have consistently maintained our goal of serving the same quality Italian food, made the old-fashioned way. After just twenty years in the pizza business, it had become apparent that additional seating space was necessary. In 1979 the original building was razed, and a larger one erected on the lot just North of the old Pizza Shop. Then in 1999 a major remodeling of the present day building began. After a three week shutdown, the new Adornetto's dining room opened its doors to a very curious customer base. The present dining room seats 200 people and features a convenient carryout window. Mr. Adornetto believes that the Pizza Shop's success and continued growth can be attributed to excellent food, friendly efficient service, cleanliness, and, of course, fine patrons like you, who express their satisfaction by coming back again and again. The employees at all Adornetto's Pizzeria locations strive to continue the tradition that makes Adornetto's pizza "The Pizza People Come Home For"!
