Once through the stone gates of Buttermilk Falls Inn + Spa, you are transported to a bucolic, self-contained retreat on the banks of the Hudson River. A seductively whimsical sanctuary in which you can recharge in one of the charmingly historic bedrooms or guest houses, relish a spa treatment utilizing fresh herbs from our Millstone Farm, or take a stroll of discovery on a network of trails leading to ponds, the property’s impressive namesake waterfall, wild flower fields and lush gardens sprouting dramatic sculptures. You can also savor a memorable dining experience at Henry’s at the Farm restaurant and marvel at the antics of our Millstone Farm’s goats, chickens, llamas and alpacas.. or simply relax, delighting in the uncommon degree of privacy our 75 acres affords with innumerable enticing nooks, both indoors and out. The Inn offers 10 distinctively decorated rooms in the circa 1764 main building, with either river or garden views. Four architecturally intriguing guest houses and a former barn present an additional seven suites, all fielding stunning panoramas and secluded outdoor space. Each of Buttermilk Inn + Spa’s guest accommodations seamlessly blend modern luxury with rustic charm, boasting working fireplaces, eye-catching artwork, private bath with whirlpool tub and / or shower, flat-screen TVs, cable and air-conditioning. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in some of the guest house suites and is available throughout the Inn’s main building.
