“known for it's suspension walking bridge”

From the stunning shorelines to the parks to the epic Capilano Suspension Bridge, there's so much to explore in the outdoors in British Columbia. But while the famed Capilano Suspension Bridge is one of the area's most popular attractions, I'm going to let you in on a little secret; not too far away is another bridge over a canyon that's a total hidden gem: it's way less crowded... oh yeah, and it's totally free! Cruise up to Lynn Canyon to do a little adventuring... there's plenty to see and do! The Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is a bit shorter and at 160 feet up, is lower than the Capilano Bridge, but it raises the fun factor by being narrower and by moving around and swaying about a lot more. You might want to make sure that no one is crossing from the side opposite you as you step on, because there's barely enough room for two people to squeeze past one another. Plus, it was built in 1912, which is an awesome and impressive bonus or a scary detail that will dissuade you from crossing it, depending on your point of view. Either way, the views from the bridge are breathtaking, and are not to be missed-- they'll definitely distract from any fears you have about crossing. The bridge isn't the only thing to see in Lynn Canyon Park, either! The hiking in the park is phenomenal; the legendary Baden Powell trail passes through it (and across the suspension bridge) so you can always check out a mile or two along it. There's also a wooden bridge that was built directly on top of an old pipe that crosses the river below in the canyon-- it's more stable than the suspension bridge and offers views that are just as lovely. You'll find a third, much shorter bridge directly atop Twin Falls. And, it gets even better: you can swim right below the falls! The park's emerald green 30 Foot Pool is another great swimming hole as well. You know, in case you need to cool off and relax after that tense walk across the suspension bridge! - Roadtrippers Lynn Canyon Park officially opened to the public in 1912 and has been a popular destination among tourists and local residents of Lynn Valley ever since. Lynn Canyon Park is a great location for a family picnic, there are several great places to relax for the day and there is also a great cafe at the park entrance. There are several trails throughout the park to choose from for a leisurely hike including the popular Baden Powell Trail. There are also many popular swimming holes that are perfect for a refreshing swim during the summer months as well as breath taking waterfalls

Great place, try to beat the crowds on a weekday or early. Great hiking! You have to check out the 30 ft. Pool during your hike! Great place and it’s FREE

Awesome. It has a very pre-historic feel. If you don't end up saying, "I feel like we're on a movie set.", I'll refund everything you paid for this review. Highly recommend it - enjoyed it more than Stanley Park.

If you ever thought of going to Capilano, try Lynn Canyon instead. It's no charge with a great suspension bridge, many trails, waterfalls, everything. You can easily make this a whole day trip.
