“Activities everyone can enjoy for a fun-filled day”

Activities everyone can enjoy for a fun-filled day! The Toronto Islands provide a great, refreshing escape from downtown with a beautiful view of Lake Ontario on one side, and the city skyline on the other. The Islands area is a great place to bask on blue flag beaches, and offers other tourist features such as the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, Franklin Children's Garden and Centreville Amusement Park Consider organizing a friendly game of volleyball, tennis or softball; cruise the island by renting a boat or bike; visit the animals at Far Enough Farm or stay refreshed by visiting one of the many restaurants, cafes and snack bars. Ferries to the Toronto Island leave from the Ferrydocks at 9 Queens Quay West, located south of Queens Quay between Yonge Street and Bay Street. Please check ferry schedules ahead of time as departures vary throughout the seasons.

Bring lots of money and comfortable shoes. Everything is pricey, especially bike rental with is basically mandatory if you'd like to explore the island. Lots to see and do, plus they have a nude beach! Hehe

One of my favorite places to visit while in Toronto. While you're visiting the island, make sure to stop by the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse, which is rumored to be haunted by the ghost of J.P Radan Muller. He was murdered by 3 soldiers from Fort at York, after denying the men beer. The fight ended with Muller being led to the top of the lighthouse, and pushed down the steps. Legend says he hit his head on the 13th step and died, and his body was buried west of the lighthouse. He continues to haunt the building to this day.

Had a great day here with the kids at the beach. Take the Ferry from Toronto (15 min ride) and soak in the beautiful views of Toronto. We went to Center Island and walked to the beach. There is a small amusement park for smaller kids, places to eat and if you want to explore the whole island you can rent bikes.

Beautiful views of the city any time of day! You'll want to bring comfortable shoes, as there is a lot of walking, but it's easy to stop and take breaks at all the different beaches. Each one has a bit different vibe and view. Always crowded in the summer.
