“a natural wonderland”
Take a horseback ride along the scenic bluffs, fish to your heart's content, wake up to the view from Belle Starr View Lodge, explore the beauty that is Robbers Cave State Park. Robbers Cave State Park is located in the scenic, hilly woodlands of the San Bois Mountains of southeast Oklahoma. A favorite of rappellers, cave explorers, equestrians, hikers and outdoor lovers, Robbers Cave enjoys notoriety as a former hideout for outlaws. The park and adjoining wildlife management area offers acres of discovery and enjoyment including caves, trout fishing in season, boating, hunting, trails for hikers and horses, sandstone cliffs for climbing and rappelling, and fall foliage viewing. RV and tent campsites, and equestrian campsites are also available. Lodging facilities include the Belle Starr View Lodge, cabins and two group camps. Picnic tables, comfort stations with showers, boat ramps, a swimming beach, swimming pool with bathhouse, playgrounds, miniature golf, hiking trails, paddleboat rentals, and a nature center with naturalist programs/exhibits round out the park's facilities.

Very easy to get lost because trails have overgrowth. Hike carefully and cautiously. The water is gorgeous though, enjoy that & skip the big hikes or at least go with the guides and get familiar with the park first.
Wooded and as mountainous as Oklahoma gets, Robber's Cave is a great place to escape for a couple of days. Plenty of activities if you're taking the family, but also lots of trails and back country camping if you're wanting an escape.
We stayed here two days, Saturday and Sunday. We visited the caves, plan at least 2hr to walk around and explore. The park has playgrounds for kids. We did the paddle boats witch was fun and relaxing. We noticed a flyer that had a list of events the park was doing through the weekend, we saw a hay ride witch was supposed to take place in half an hour but the employees obviously had forgotten about, but the staff was friendly and helpful and did it last minute even though we were the only three to sign up for it!
We camped in site 19, it has full hookups and the concrete pad was level enough to not have to use any leveling aids.
Overall great experience and will definitely be staying again.

We booked our reservation late after a change of plans. The only pull through sites left we’re at the ATV Trails, so we stayed there. Nice sites, a bit hilly and muddy (it had rained quite a bit the days prior to our arrival) and by the end of the weekend there were several large ruts in the gravel road.
Our site was level, though a pretty good incline up to it and a good incline after the pad, so larger rigs may want to pick another site, but our 36” fifth wheel leveled just fine. If you’re looking for a wider, flatter, more “manicured” site, I wouldn’t recommend the ATV sites. The other campgrounds were definitely more maneuverable. There were a couple turns getting in and out where you need to watch the turns and trees, but had little issue getting in and out, even with wet conditions.
No dump site at the ATV trail, but it was a short and easy drive to the equestrian dump site.
The general store was well ran and stocked with all “the easientals” and the hiking around the camp ground was wonderful for our little kids as well as my wife and I.

We were a bit closer to the camp road than we prefer but also were close to the bathhouse for our tent camping family. We stayed in Whispering Pines. If you want more privacy and bigger sites, go to Old Circle. Had a great time hiking around and seeing the creeks. Enjoyable camping in the trees.

We needed a change of scenery to socially distance in nature, but we live in TX and all our state parks are still closed. So we looked to our neighbor up north, OK whose state parks are open and found Robbers Cave State Park. Not knowing what to expect we were pleasantly surprised how beautiful this area of OK is. Our site was amazing and we will definitely return! Great hiking and scenery

Great state park with good hiking, fishing, swimming, and canoe rental. Lots to do and friendly staff. Only negative would be paying $5 to dump after your stay if you don’t get a site with sewer (there are a few). Otherwise it’s one of the best parks we’ve gotten to stay at.

Tight maneuvering in this park. We pulled into this campground for a one-night stay. Maneuvering our F250 and 38-foot fifth wheel was a bit tough. The campground is wooded and has trails for ATVs and OHVs right out of the campground. We didn’t have our Turbo S RZR with us in the garage this trip, so we didn’t use the trails, but access was certainly great.
There were several travel trailers and small Class As in the park, but not many large Class As or other large fifth wheels in the park.
We only stayed one night and so we didn’t really use any of the park amenities, but there were people that were kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, and otherwise in bathing suits, so there must be water nearby! We could have used a dip in the water as it was nearly 100 degrees during our short stay. Good thing for 30A/50A electric and water at the site! We kept our AC running non-stop.
Nice campground in Oklahoma, although next time I think we’d try and stay in the main park (due to maneuverability with our rig).

We stayed here in Oct. The leaves here are amazing in the fall. The people in the State park camp store are friendly. The trails are nice and well marked . We had no issues parking or getting in or out of our parking spot. All of the spots we have seen had fire rings and picnic tables. This campground has a remote feel to it.
