Consistently voted one of the best botanical gardens in the United States, Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is located on the outskirts of the Richmond area is a gem worth visiting. With more than 200,000 plants on 50 acres of land, this paradise includes several uniquely themed gardens.

We think a visit here is one of the best things to do in Virginia!

A lovely stop! We visited in January so there wasn't a lot to see, but our visit coincided with a half price admission deal and we were the only visitors on-site at the time. We would definitely come back when it's warmer and there's more to see.

Beautiful place. We intended to visit for just an hour but Stayed for over 3. Kid friendly. Well kept up. Great butterfly exhibit. 12$ adults. 8$ kids over 3. Well worth it. Bring a bathing suit if you want as there is a great splash pad for the kids. Many picnic tables for eating.
