“insanely-beautiful swimming hole”
To Sua Ocean Trench is one of the ideallic sites that is located in Lotofaga village. Few sites are situated in the same area, including blowholes, and an incredible small beach on the western side. To Sua is otherwise translated as 'big hole' that is converted into a large swimming area. A ladder is installed on site for visitors access to and fro into this 30 meters deep seawaters. This site is surrounded with beautiful colorful gardens. The site is for swimming and nature photography. There is a fee upon entrance. There is a faded sign on the main road though it is only visibale when heading east Monday-Sunday : 7:00am–6:00pm. Adults: $15 | Children(7-15): $6.00 | Under 7: FREE During the 1960s, archaeologists investigating the early settlement of the Pacific Islands uncovered a prehistoric settlement inland from Lotofaga in an area marked Tafagamanu Sand. The date obtained from the cultural deposit was 735 plus or minus 85 years BP. Tafagamanu Sand is a geological name given to beach and beach ridge deposits of carbonate sand occurring up to 2 m or more above sea level.
