Wings Air Helicopters

Wings Air Helicopters is a full-service aviation company based at Westchester County Airport (KHPN) in White Plains, New York. Founded in 2002 by a former investment banker, the company advocates the beauty of airborne travel through a variety of services; including helicopter charters, helicopter flight training as well as aerial photography and film production.  Wings Air was created in 2002 by Javier Diaz, a former investment banker and aviation enthusiast. The goal was to establish a first-rate, standard setting aviation company that would differentiate itself from others through outstanding service, quality aircraft and high standards of safety. The company started out focusing on air charter and later expanded into other areas such as flight training, aerial photography, aerial survey and aerial film production. In addition to being the first helicopter company based at Westchester County Airport, Wings Air has achieved many significant milestones since its inception. Over the years we obtained several coveted FAA operating certificates such as the Part 135 (Air Carrier Certificate), Part 136 (Air Tour Operator) and a Motion Picture Waiver allowing us to use our helicopters to film movies over New York City streets. We are the only company in New York that has been approved by Wyvern, a global aviation safety auditing firm, for filming motion pictures, a testament to our high standards. We currently fly an average of 3,500 hours per year without incident.
