Dothan is a city in southeastern Alabama, serving as the county seat of Houston County, and the chief city of the western Wiregrass region, an area encompassing portions of southeastern Alabama, southwestern Georgia, and the panhandle of Florida. Its population according to the 2010 census was at 65,447, making it the largest metropolitan area in southeastern Alabama.
