“Filming location of Walts house in breaking bad”
Drive by and see if the lady or man is outside.. The elderly man who lives here will ask where you are from and tell you all the stories you can imagine from the shooting! Whereas the lady who lives here will tell you to leave.
Ok! This is to all the fan get your facts straight
1. This is a family home owned for 41 years not!! A prop house
2. The family will never sell
3. The owner's don't have a problem with the fan's coming by to take pictures if you respect the neighborhood don't block their driveways, walk on their property.
4. Be respectful of the house. No!! Pizza on roof
5.Y ou can take pictures off the property
The owners have shared their story with the fans on how the house was choosen and has help fans take their pictures even sent fans to the famous site.but, for the fans that cant respect the simple rules
The owners have installed security camers now cause of the fans that cant follow the simple rules and the local police patrol all hours.
You have to wonder...if the old lady is so burdened at her loss of privacy, why is she camped out in her garage all day, every day, waiting for the next person she can be irritated by? go inside and watch TV, you old whack job! maybe you'll even see how your house looks without you in the driveway.
Really cool to see the actual Breaking Bad house, but like previous comments noted, the owner was outside in the driveway and was not happy. We only stopped across the street for a moment to take a quick picture, smiled and waved from our car, and she stood there shaking her head as if we had ruined her day. Hmph!
Crabby old woman told me to go across the street to take pictures. Screw you lady. She sits in her garage and complains if you get too close. You live in a house that is famous! You shouldn't have allowed the filming to take place at your home if you had a problem with people coming by to take pictures. Move to another home if it's such a problem. I hope someone throws a pizza on your roof very soon.
Seriously what does the lady of the house think by signing up for a super popular series is gonna happen. Get the stick out of your ass now that u got paid for the home and let the fans visit (outside) and take pics. If they ask questions politely decline. Don't be a bitch now that u got paid. Bitch (in the voice of Jesse pinkman)
This lady was totally of her rocker. We literally were there for one second and she just started yelling at us, "this is a normal neighborhood!" "Don't block the driveway" "don't block the road!" "You have no respect!" And all I was doing was parked on a public street. I really feel sorry for her because it's not worth all the fuss to be worried about someone parked on a public street. She and her husband just sit on the driveway waiting for people to get in yelling distance. While we were there two other cars drove by. They were smarter and didn't stop or roll down their windows for her to yell at them but they drive by three times. To me that would be more annoying. I think she should relax and enjoy the celebrity. If you're not crossing the line then let people exist in peace please.
drove by. got the glare from the missus. and why not? it's her house, she can glare at whomever she wants.
Finally made it out to Walter's house today. As we were pulling up to the house, the garage door opened. I waved to the lady owner as I was excited to see the place. Needless to say she was less than pleased to see us. She told me I could take pictures from across the street. Kind of a bummer because I was hoping to ask her if she had any cool stories during filming. All in all, the experience was awesome though. With that being said I understand this is someone's actual home so I thank them for allowing visitors and I'm sure they have had enough people come by the house.
I went a couple years ago and had a great time. Chatted with the lady for about an hour, laughed, she told me stories, took selfies with me, etc. As I approached and she was outside, I told her that I in no way wanted to offend her or invade her privacy and would turn around and walk away if she preferred. I think this set a good tone. I wish I could share my pictures on here but if you're interested just let me know. It was a very cool experience and I found the owner to be kind and reasonable.
We just went by there on our trip from TN to AZ and had a great experience. There were three people in the garage and the lady told us to take pictures from across the street. She went inside and another woman saw our dog and informed us there was a park right down the street. They were pleasant. I'm sure had it just been the woman she would have been rude but with the other two she was not as bad as the other reviews make her seem. So glad we stopped! I'm a die hard fan ^-^
After reading everyone's reviews I was apprehensive about going and trying to get a photo, mostly because a lot of them said the woman was mean... And they were sort of right, but not really. We went over there and my dad (who has no clue what BB is) walked up onto their drive way and yes they were sitting outside in their opened garage. The woman pretty much barked at him like a junk yard dog but her bark was worse than bite. She was a very nice woman just wants people to respect her property (naturally) as they get mysterious and curious unexpected guests very regularly. So basically, they were very cool and nice just don't disrespect them by inviting yourself onto there property and politely ask from a distance if it is okay to get a picture and I think they would happily respond.
The women was in her garage as I stopped quickly to take a picture. She didn't seem to mind. That could have been because there was a breaking bad RV also there taking pics. Worth a stop.
Cool spot! Omg but that lady needs to take a chill pill. I wasn't even on the damn sidewalk and she felt the need to come out. She ruined the moment for me which I guess was her purpose -_- . Please move lady! You are a Debbie downer!
after reading the reviews I thought that I was going to be greeted rather parsley by the lady that owns the house. I have to say that I find the comments about the lady that owns the house to be rather over the top. She was very nice. We had a half hour conversation. If you're respectful she will be as well. By the way I loved it
did a self guided Breaking Bad Tour on our honeymoon in October 2013. We ended up taking a timed picture in front of the house, but the owner actually came out when she saw that our car had said just married on it. They are the absolute nicest people that you could ever deal with.they said at the time they had over 2,500 visitors per month. such a cool experience.
I'm glad I was able to see Walters house, but I did not experience any of the owners telling me to leave or anything like I've seen in the other comments. We did a relatively quick drive by to take pictures and then called it a day. There are a few signs saying no trespassing so we kinda got the idea that the homeowners aren't too happy with visitors
If you type the address on google maps and go on street view you can see the lady that everyone is talked ng about. I wish she would have held a sign saying "Don't come here." or flipped of the google street view camera or something. Now if I could only find a "Los Pollos Hermanos" I could die peacefully.
I don't understand the previous comments about "the lady". We drove up, got out and took pictures. The garage opened and she came out into the garage. I went and spoke with her. She was very nice and pleasant. .. :-)
Drove by at night since that's when we were driving through Albuquerque, so no problems as no one was out. Quite a thrill if you're a big Breaking Bad fan!
On a vacation with family and friends who are all fans of the show.. While passing through the ABQ we decided to drive by and check it out. The current owners happened to be outside and noticed us looking. Instead of being gracious and "owning" what they've got, they yelled explicits and to get the hell out..Drivers beware.
Having read other reviews about the homeowner(s) reactions and for the sake of their privacy/property we only sought out the house for a quick gander and photo opp as we drove by. We stopped at the STOP sign in front of the house, took a shot from the car, turned left in front of the house, took a few more and went about our way. The home owners were home as the garage door was raised but we did not see anyone outside. We weren't interested in getting out of the car to take our photo in front of the house, but being fans of the show we wanted to say we saw it. And we did. If you are in ABQ and are a fan of BB then definitely stop by for a quick pic, but leave the homeowners be.
It's super cool to see for fans of the show! It has such a low rating because of the lady who sits in the garage, who was sitting there when we arrived in the middle of the day on a Monday. She scowled at us over her newspaper, so we just took a few pictures and didn't even get out of the car. Still worth it, though, I think!
I'd say it's worth a stop if you're a true Breaking Bad fan. When I visited, no one came outside to yell/tell stories. A few other people drove up around the same time, and we helped each other take pictures.
A nice quick stop on the unofficial Breaking Bad tour!
we drove by the house and slowed down to take a picture the Lady of the house was in the garage she was a asshole waving her arms and dirty looks don't waste your time.
Well maybe you would react th same if everyday ppl would come to your house. Maybe they never thaught it would be such a success.
I was on my way through Albequerque today and decided to stop by as I had to see this place. I'm a huge BB fan. When we drove up, a lady was sitting in the garage with the garage door open. There were all kinds of no trespassing signs in the yard. I parked across the street and walked over to the middle of the street and asked the woman if it was ok to take a photo. She said yes and advised that the best way was to stand in the middle of the street (not near her property) and my son took the photos from the opposite corner by the street sign. Photos came out ok. My main observation was that the house appeared a little different than in the show. Also, the street that aims towards the house is on a hill which I never picked up from the show. This isn't a great place to visit but I think the woman was reasonable. I suggest she accept donations in exchange for good photos and donate proceeds to Drug addict treatment. Why not?
We just drove by, and as mentioned by pretty much everybody, the female owner was sitting in the garage. We didn't bug her. We just shot a quick pic while driving by. It was still fun to see. :)
Take all the pictures you want as long as you're on public property.
The owner claims to hate all the passersby, but she parks herself in a lawn chair either in her driveway or in her garage to look at everyone who goes by. Get a life lady! If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen!
Horrible people, real nasty, nasty old lady, if you can call her that. For the 5 minutes we spend on the other side of the street, she kept on yelling to all the cars and people who wanted to take a picture of the house. She looked miserable and bitter. Just go there and be prepared for the insults and just take in stride. Just make fun of the situation.
We dropped in on a Friday around noon and we ran into the Breaking Bad tour (which tours you around in the meth lab RV)! This was definitely worth a stop and a picture. We took the picture from across the street out of respect for the people who live in the house. Nice people!
This is a house that was on a TV show. It is like many other houses, except that it was on a TV show.
I, like many fans on here, mustered up the courage to go get a picture. Its really not a good experience. I left without pictures because I won't tolerate being treated like a criminal. If the old, rude ass woman would just close the garage and post a couple. no passing sign in sure it would be better for all of us... Ater all, I do understand English. But no, she has to play a demon off of the exorcist. Seriously, I should have gone to trick-or-treat.. Since everything to them requires harassing people that aren't on the property from the garage door. She is not a nice person at all and should either sell the house or accept reality that comes with fame..... I've met alot of famous people and she has twice the ego. F bitch
My name is Jared it's Saturday may 21st after reading all these comments I'm cared to go at the same time I don't give a **** also I'm in a 18 whealer so this will be interesting ima take pictures and make a video so spltoked after going to Jessie pi kmans house!
The lady who lives here is likely bi-polar, and should be approached cautiously. She was pleasantly chatting with a fellow when I arrived, but when I approached her, she snapped without warning. If she didn't like the attention, for $100, she could buy four cans of paint and change the color and look of the house. But she has left the house unchanged because she feeds off the attention. That being said, just be prepared for her and don't let her ruin your day. Be respectful, but also know your RIGHTS. The sidewalk is a public place, both opposite the street AND in front of her house. You are allowed on EITHER sidewalk. You can also park on the street, like you would on any other public street. Don't be discouraged by the crazy lady. Just stand your ground and KNOW your rights, and of course be respectful. But approach cautiously :) But a must see for any Breaking Bad fan.
It's hard to rate this since it really shouldn't be a tourist attraction. We drove up and like almost all the reviews before me the couple that lived there were sitting in the garage watching for any on coming traffic. I had read all the reviews before going and knew to be careful when speaking to the couple. My husband rolled down the window and politely asked if we could take a picture. The lady pointed across the street and said "from over there." So we parked across, took two shots and then left. No biggy, it was nice being able to see the house for that short time.
So weird to drive by and see a lady just standing with the garage open. She just stared me down. I drove by without stopping and taking a picture. Wonder how someone like that wouldn't want to just sell the house? How uncomfortable to live somewhere and not like people stopping by for photos.
I went by there last week and had the same experience with the "lady". She must be pretty moody, bc for all the great experiences people seemed to have, she wasn't pleasant at all. I saw the sign, respected her property and stayed off it. All I wanted was a quick pic in front of the house. The garage opened and she quickly came out with her arms crossed. I asked if I could take a pic, and she snipped, "from across the street". It was really cool seeing the house, but she ruined the experience. Here's an idea, if you don't want people coming by to snap a picture, don't have a tv series use your home! What a hag. Just beware.
Drove by the house on a Thursday morning. A woman was outside and stared at us angrily as we drove by. We parked down the road and she continued to stare. We walked around the neighborhood for a while until she left ( don't need cranky ladies ruining a good photo op). Don't worry about her, just stay on public streets and sidewalks and take your photo. We paid for that expensive car in the driveway and her ability to remain unemployed while running out of the house to aim her rage at happy folks. Don't let her discourage you.
Worth a quick picture if your driving by taking your time and are a Breaking Bad fan. Although the reviews about the lady are true although I have a feeling she is just doing it for her own enjoyment. I stepped out of the car walked over and heard a door slam from the garage and then in a piercing voice a lady yell "JESUS CHRIST ALL MIGHTY GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE AND GET A LIFE" haha start recourding right when you get there might get something extra.
Stopped for photo just in time for breaking bad tour in none other than the RV. Lady in lawn chair in garage talked to them and took photos
We went to take a picture and as soon as we got back in the car she lifted the garage door and stared at our car WITH BINOCULARS... There is obviously something wrong with this lady xD
Wow. Cannot believe how harsh the lady in the front yard was. I'm from South Carolina and poured on as much southern charm as I could and she was cold, dismissive and frankly disrespectful. Just wanted to take a photo but was told I could stand across the street on the far corner and take photos from there. You'd think they'd have something better to do with their time than just post in the front yard and yell at people. I get they must get alot of people coming through but why would you agree to something like that show if you didn't want the traffic?
My husband and I are in no way like die hard BB fanatics or anything, but this was still a really exciting thing to see!!! We parked on the corner across from the house and took pictures since there were S E V E N signs on the property warning that the house was under surveillance, it was private property, trespassers will be prosecuted, etc, etc.
Drove all the way from Michigan to see this house. Didn't even get to take a photo because the grumpy woman was there watching me. She must get a thrill out of all of this otherwise why would she always be in the garage? 😥 very disappointed and bummed...
Loved seeing the house, but it was awkward. The owners of the house were hanging out in the garage watching people drive by.
We were waived on by....by the old lady! Her life consists of sitting in her garage and trying to scare people. Lol....most entertaining thing is she could actually make money!!! We drove around the corner and took pics anyway. Lol
The current occupants of the house were very rude and would not let us take pictures in front of the house. I would not recommend making the drive all the way into Albuquerque to see Walter White's house due to the fact that the current owners refuse to allow photography. The owners should have known when purchasing the house that house is obviously a major attraction and the presence of tourists comes with the property. It's an interesting sight to see but the owners ruin the experience.
I think the lady is getting tired of people acting like idiots. People come, trespass, and throw pizza other roof because they think they're hilarious and original.
I grew up just down the street from this house, on Orlando. The people who live there are very nice. And to this day, I still ride my bike through the neighborhood and wave, and they owners are very, very nice. Like the others said, be respectful. Throwing pizzas is not only stupid, lacking in originality, and as Vince Gilligan said, makes you a "jagoff", it's also trespassing. If it was your house, how would you feel?
We have told you fans more than once Ok!!! NO!!! more pizza on my parents roof IS not tolerated!!!! The show is over get a life This is a family home
Ha, if you look this up on Google earth then the street view, you can see the lady owner in the garage looking angry that another person slowly drove past her house !!!
It was a really cool being outside the breaking bad house. The owners ended up being extremely frieny and even took our photo in front of the house! Definitely recommended making the stop if you are a breaking bad fan.
The lady who now owns it was sitting outside in a lawn chair making sure no one stopped in front of the house which is a little excessive. What does she expect buying a famous prop house?
