Easy quick check-in. Space to maneuver our rig into the site. Many full size trees that provide some shade. We set up camp then went back to the office where they also have a small BBQ restaurant, delicious! As the sun went down we sat outside and enjoyed the breeze. Craters of the Moon National Monument is only 20 minutes away.
The electric pedestal had a short or something with the 50amp line and we could not get it to work properly. The host quickly came out to find the power was good... but it was late in the evening that we found the short. We used the 30amp instead.
Check this place out!

I stayed here for two nights when visiting Craters of the Moon. The sites are all pull through and are gravel. Grass, dead grass, and dirt made up the rest of the site. It seemed that new pedestals had been recently installed, so that was nice for electricity hookup. The park provided three different wifi signals. I only needed to try one and it worked really well. Probably the best RV park wifi I have used. The restaurant is only open Tuesday through Saturday, so I missed the opportunity to get food during my stay.

The campground is a simple pull through design, full hookups. The newer owners a nice young couple were friendly and working on upgrades. The cafe served some awesome good ribs and potato salad! And the laundry room had newer equipment and was very clean.

This RV Park is a great base for exploring Craters of the Moon and Mackay Historic Mining Hill. What really make this a 5-star park are the owner’s hospitality, delicious food at their restaurant, a level site and an immaculate laundry facility.

We stayed early June 2023. Note the rate includes the Good Sam discount. Friendly staff (enthusiastic newer owners), great restaurant (southern bbq), loved the dog park (toys and water bowl included), and community fire pit. This was a short stop on an extended trip and this was the best campground environment of the trip. We were on row D and the site was almost completely sunny. Other sites had some shade. The whole small park is level. Fairly new picnic table. Nice spacing between sites. You are on a main road, but it’s Arco so the trucks hauling hay are the only traffic. Convenient to Craters of the Moon and EBR-1. Did not use bathhouse nor laundry.

The weather turned cold so we showed up a day early than the reservation. They found a spot for us. The restaurant is now closed for remodeling. Would stay here again.

So the main draw to the super tiny town of Arco is that it is VERY close to Craters of the Moon National Monument. If you are visiting the NM, this park is only 20 minutes away. The park itself has little to offer, other than being a place to pause and rest. The sites are stacked close and there are some big trees that provide nice shade, but will make it tricky to navigate out of some of the sites. This RV park does offer a restaurant, though we did not try it. If we were to return to the area and not require hook-ups, I would dry camp in the National Monument, as some of the sites looked pretty unique. They do offer a Good Sam Discount.

When looking for a place to stay on my trip through Idaho, I looked for a campground close to Craters of the Moon. The City of Arco provided two options, KOA and Mountain View. I know what standard KOA's offer, so I decided to try a "locally owned" option. I was pleasantly surprised. The campground was very well maintained. My favorite part was the 12' plus grass area's between the sites with shade trees. Many campgrounds don't offer this much space. The layout of the sites offer extremely easy access in and out.
I did not use the laundry or bathroom facilities, but I'm confident they are well maintained.
Visitors to the Arco area will certainly visit Craters of the Moon National Monument, however I would also recommend visiting the EBR-I Atomic Museum as well. It is only a short 20 minute drive from Arco. They offer very informative and educational tours. Best of all, it's a free museum.

Our family of 6 was traveling from Yellowstone to Craters of the Moon NM. There are not a lot of choices in the town of Arco, the KOA and Moutain View. We enjoyed our stay at Mountain View. They have showers (included in stay), laundry facilities ($1.00 to wash and $1.50 to dry), and free WI-FI.
There were quite a few rigs here, but it was very quiet other than being right near the road so there was some noise there, however that was not an issue for us as we had our ac running due to the heat.
The owner was friendly and even checked in on us after we got set up to see if we needed anything.
Spots are easy to access and all seem to be pull -through which is nice. All have a small grass area with a shade tree, picnic table, and bbq grill.
