Built in 1900 and originally known as the Peerless Rooms, The Peerless Hotel has been lovingly restored and is now included in the National Register of Historic Places and is featured in the Best Selling Book "1,000 Places To See Before You Die". The hotel is conveniently located on Fourth Street in Ashland's Historic Railroad and Gallery District, just three blocks to downtown and six blocks to The Oregon Shakespeare Festival. It's an easy walk to many fine restaurants, shops, boutiques and art galleries. Guests are pampered with Italian bed linens, AVEDA bath products, in room spa or clawfoot bathtubs, and a sumptuous complimentary breakfast is included (during the mid and high season). Absolutely lovely restored brick victorian hotel. The attention to detail and friendly helpful staff made this a worthy splurge. Our room (7) included a separate sitting room, small balcony, four poster bed, lush exotic plants in the room and a jetted tub for two. Away from the bustle of town centre, in a quaint little neighbourhood. The adjoining restaurant was excellent for happy hour treats, and breakfast (included) served at the restaurant was nice as well. Just enough.
