Jo’s Coffee Good Food started in 1999 in a box on South Congress Avenue when owner Liz Lambert saw a need for a coffee shop in the neighborhood. Years later, Jo’s on South Congress is an Austin icon. In addition to supplying the Travis Heights neighborhood with its morning fix, Jo’s has become a hub of community activity and a prime meeting and people-watching location in one of the most bustling areas in town. Home to a host of annual events – South By San Jose, Chili Cook-off, Pet Parade, Sinner’s Brunch weekly on Sundays, and others – Jo’s sees community as second only to coffee in our mission. We are proud to have hosted benefits to raise money for the Gulf Coast Oil Spill, The West Texas Wildfires, and other charitable causes and we continue to do so while having fun. We hold localism as one of our highest values and seek to promote others doing good things in the community.
