“A thrift store run by Alice Cooper!”
The name Alice Cooper might conjure up images of guillotines, electic chairs, frankenstein monsters, and rock and roll, but it looks like the father of shock rock has decided to pursue a business even stranger than gory stage shows: he's opened a thrift store. Alice Cooper's Attic is a brand new thift shop in Phoenix, Arizona that was created to help supplement Solid Rock, a teen outreach program that was started by Cooper and longtime friend Chuck Savale in 1995. Solid Rock offers free music and dance classes to the area's teens in an effort to provide positive outlets where kids can spend time off the streets. While the Alice Cooper's Attic serves primarily as an upscale thrift store, the interesting draw to the shop is "Coop's Corner", an entire area of the store dedicated to exclusive items, including signed tour swag and other collector's pieces, straight from Alice Cooper's personal collection, and restocked regularly.
