Jay's Bar-B-Q has been serving Baton Rouge the best Bar-B-Q for over 57 years. From our humble beginnings in a remodeled hot dog stand, Jay's has always been a family run business. Thank you for sharing in our story over the years! Jay's has always been a family business. Over the years, Jay's wife Dale, his daughters Connie, Linda and Pat, his father H.M. "Pop" Prothro and his brother-in-law Joe Poole have all labored at the restaurant. NowConnie's and Rick's son Rich is working at the location on Sherwood Forest Blvd. where you can see pictures of the newest generation coming along to help out in the family business.
