Boise Art Museum is a 501(c)(3) non–profit, educational and charitable organization. The mission of the Museum is to create visual arts experiences, engage people, and inspire learning through exceptional exhibitions, collections, and educational opportunities. In 1931, a group of thirty citizens interested in promoting art in the city of Boise and throughout Idaho met in the Crystal Lounge of the Hotel Boise and became known as the Boise Art Association. The purpose of the association was to organize, acquire, and maintain a suitable gallery in which works of art could be displayed.
The exhibits are really well designed for zoo attendees and animals alike. It's smaller than many other zoos I've been to, but it's very clean and there's plenty to do and see for both kids and adults. It wasn't very busy either!
I loved it. I have been to the following zoos: LA Zoo, Portland Zoo, Denver Zoo, and now the Boise Zoo. The Boise Zoo is one of the nicest. The zoo itself is beautiful, the animals are exotic and there are plenty of fun photo opportunities to be had. We had a great time. Loved feeding the domestic, super sweet goats.
