“home of the budweiser clydesdales”
Warm Springs Ranch is a state-of-the-art Budweiser Clydesdale breeding Farm on 300-plus acres of lush, rolling hills in the heart of Missouri near Boonville. Established in 2008, the farm features a mare/stallion and foaling barn, veterinary lab and 10 pastures, each with a customized, walk-in shelter. The facility is home to more than 100 Clydesdales ranging from foals to stallions. Guided tours take guests through a 25,000 square foot breeding facility that makes up the headquarters of the Budweiser Clydesdales breeding operation.
You cannot go in - at all - if you don't do the tour. I have young children, who would not do well with the long tour. We were hoping just to catch a quick glance. No such luck.
Pretty fence and barn.
The tour is great, very informative and it's neat to see the horses. The barns and pastures are beautiful. One star off because everytime I've done the tour, it's hard to hear the guide because they use poor quality speakers.
Amazing place. The horses are so gentle, so kind. Tour guides are very knowledgeable. Get your reservations in early as it books up fast, but is worth going to. You won't see any other place in the USA like this! Plan to spend the day, and night, in the area and enjoy the wineries, downtown Boonville, sitting by the river eating diner - a magical experience.
Great tour - but plan ahead. We visited this farm and it was a real highlight. The tours are small (I think we had 12 people in our group). That said, you need to book your reservations, as they only do a few tours a day and the group size is limited. I'm sure it's to give the horses a break. Plan ahead, you won't be disappointed.
This was one of the highlights of our westward trip. Our daughter was fascinated with these gentle giants and my husband enjoyed the draft. We were able to see a new baby Clydesdale that had been born the night before, so amazing.
