“Some of the finest seafood in Boston”
Neptune Oyster serves some of the finest seafood in Boston. From our clam chowder and escargot fricassee, to our flash seared Nantucket yellowfin tuna and our signature Neptune Burger, you're bound to find
Although it's a "mecca for oyster lovers", this "fabulous" North End "seafood place you always dreamed of" earns its No. 1 ranking for Food because "every single thing on the menu" is "unbelievable", from the "warm, butter-smothered" lobster rolls "worth dying for" to johnnycakes "wisely touted by insiders"; "if you can get in the door" (with no reservations, lines "form shortly after it opens"), expect "expensive" tabs – but also count on an "intimate" ambiance, with "professional" staffers catering to a "jovial crowd."
This is the north end version of B&G oysters. Very cool little place with excellent seafood. Super simple lobster roll in two ways.
The BEST oysters in Boston, imo, a must stop. This is a staple of the North End, but is almost always busy. It's worth the wait. Parking in North End in general is normally chaotic, and this place is no exception, so cab/uber/lyft if possible.
It's totally worth the wait, but try to get here as soon as they open! The food is superb and the cozy, old-world feel of the interior makes it taste all the better.
Get the fries.
A seat at the bar here--while staring down a glass of rosé, a platter of oysters, a smoked fish-topped johnnycake and a fat lobster roll--is one of the city's greatest pleasures. It's also one that often requires an hours-long wait, so use that time to wander through the charming North End.
