“The best buns in town”
Anne and Louis Barth first opened the doors of Harvest Bakery Inc. on Memorial Day in 1941. The bakery was located at 562 North Main Street in Bristol, but it was relocated to its present Farmington Avenue address in 1948. In 1949, the Barth’s daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Payson Hurwitz, joined the bakery business. In 1979, current owner Martin Hurwitz and his wife Jackie joined the bakery, becoming the third generation to enter the family business.
