“Breathtaking Views of Brocton!”
High bluffs overlooking Lake Erie provide a breathtaking view for the visitor to Lake Erie State Park. Lake Erie features a shoreline covering over three quarters of a mile bordering the shallowest of the Great Lakes. Whether camping in one of the 97 campsites or one of the 10 cabins offered at this park, the magnificent scenery will capture your attention. Day users can enjoy the picnic areas with shelters, playgrounds and hiking trails that are available to the cross-country skiers during the winter months. Lake Erie State Park is recognized as an excellent place for locating rare migratory birds following the lakes edge. Swimming not permitted.
Nice facility. Very clean and quiet. Sites are crowded close together, but on a Wednesday night we found plenty of sites with no neighbors.
Would have loved space 17 with a clear view of the lake. But I was quite happy under my tree, just across the lake and steps from the beach area. If you love driftwood, the beach is a mecca. So many interesting pieces.
My campsite was clean, supplied with a fire ring/grill top and a picnic table that is a bit dangerous when 2 people are seated on one side and the 3rd stands up! Lucky there was no backwards action.
Love the lake view, cool evening breezes and nice neighbors I met and shared a meal with.
Showers - lot's of web/bugs/hair - but I'd used it at the end of the day, so maybe it was just an off time.
