The Riverview Nature Trail connects Loeb State Park with the Redwood Nature Trail #1111. While the Redwood trail travels northwest through a pristine redwood grove, the Riverview Trail follows the Chetco River southeast through a mixed myrtlewood forest. A brochure that describes some of the plants and trees seen along the trail is available at Siskiyou National Forest Offices and at the trailhead. Caution: The trail may present safety concerns such as poison oak, low hanging branches, narrow bridges and trail debris. Directions from Brookings: Travel east on County Road 784 (North Bank Road) to Forest Service Road #1376. The trail is located at Loeb State Park and across from the Redwood Nature Trail #1111.

Your not lost if your on a sketchy gravel road! Once you find it follow the trail to the half burnt down tree. its worth the hike! super cool!

Along the Redwood Nature trail, hikers will see Redwood trees up to 250 feet tall and 10 feet in diameter. Some may be as old as 800 years. A brochure is available at Siskiyou Forest Offices and at the trailhead which describes some of the plants and trees that you will see. This trail is designated for hiking only and does not meet barrier free access standards. It may present safety concerns such as poison oak, low hanging branches, narrow bridges and trail debris. This trail connects with the Riverview Trail which leads to Loeb State Park along the Chetco River. Facilities at the trailhead include parking, picnic tables, a toilet, trash collection and self-guided interpretive brochures.
