Cave Country RV campground at Cave City Kentucky is worthy its high marks. Very friendly people at this wonderfully clean park. Nice size level lots - our site had just recently been graded. Good pet area. Easy on off/of I-65. There are freight train rails nearby but not noisy or bothersome - actually enjoyed the quiet rumble. Nice lot spacing. Close to nearby dining and groceries and of course, a good spot for a Mammoth Cave visit. We've been here before and we'll be back again the next time we pass thru southern Kentucky.

Everything was so nice and well-maintained! I was greeted by a very friendly lady at the desk, who also helped me with a glitch using our GS discount. We were still winterized, so we needed the bathhouse for showering and bathroom trips. It was SO CLEAN, with Christmas music playing! No leveling needed and the grounds are taken care of. I wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else if we come through this way again.

We stayed here for a week, and the facility was always clean and staff was very nice and helpful for all situations. Main things to be aware of that the access into the park can get a little congested right at check in check out time and rigs can get backed up on the road. Also on the sites closer to the one end will hear more of the train that is quite busy. You will get used to it but be aware. sites were nice and level, had great fire pits, and delivered the firewood promptly. plenty of birds and nice to walk around. Pool table and checkers at the office. Wifi was not great in that it got overloaded in the morning and evening.

This looked like a good spot from which to visit Mammoth Cave. It was close but proved to be disappointing. The park is played out between an Interstate, a railroad and a waste treatment plant. The first two were noisy and the latter was smelly. Sites were well kept and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities werewolf appointed.

We stayed here while visiting Mammoth Caves. Although there may be a few campgrounds closer to the entrance, this was only about 20 min away and just off the interstate. There are several restaurants you can walk to from the campground. All the sites are spacious and pull thru with full elec, water, and sewer hook ups. All sites are flat and level. The bathroom and showers were super clean- probably the nicest I have ever been to. There is a laundry room with 2 washer/dryers ($1.50/load) which worked very well. There is a small inground pool that was super nice. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and would stay again. The staff was super friendly and nice and escorted us to our site.

This campground is perfect for visiting Cave Citys attractions. It is a small, quiet, very nice campground surrounded by beautiful fields. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Sites are somewhat narrow, but clean, well maintained and have beautiful grass on them. We and the dogs enjoyed our short stay there. We have a video about this campground on our YouTube channel - Summertime RV Rovers. It is called Cave Destinations in Kentucky Episode 6. We camped at Cave Country RV Campground in a Motorhome.

Sites are well suited for big trucks and rigs.
Wi-Fi was superb.
Cell service was no issue with Spectrum / Verizon.
Level pads
They are particularly picky about staying off the grass. Like tires or mats. It was great weather and dry so that was not an issue. But it f it were wet, I would prefer to put out our mat.
Train goes by every hour or so but it didn’t bother us.

We did stay here again, and it was still as good as it was, when we were last here! So friendly and still an awesome bathhouse. 🙂 This is our go-to place for the night on our way to Florida… and to top it off, a Buc-ees is coming soon just a couple exits south of it!

I dont know why more reviews aren’t mentioning the trains. They are one right after the other and extremely loud!! Not to mention the freeway right next door. It’s clean, level, and well laid out but I would not have stayed here if I had known trains were going by constantly. It is not a peaceful place to stay.
