“America's only all-water cavern”
America's only all-water cavern and wildlife park are nestled in Central Pennsylvania's scenic Penn State Country. The cavern tour is a guided one-hour tour by motorboat on an underground stream. Along the limestone corridors, stalagmites, stalactites, flowstone cascades and draperies decorate the interior rooms, while underwater, trout swim and jump for feed! The farm and wildlife tour is a guided 90-minute motorized tour over 1,500 acres of Penn's Cave forests and fields which have been carefully preserved as a natural habitat for birds, plants, and animals. North American animals, such as bears, wolves, elk, deer, bobcats, bison, longhorn cattle, mustangs as well as the Penn's Cave Icon, the cougar, are seen, along with the African adventure museum.
Great! Go see it! Super fun little boat ride thru a cave. Bring a coat, it's chilly. The music in the parking lot ruins the tranquility, and just skip the gift shop. Nothing unique, waste of money. I asked about any locally made Penn's Cave souvenirs and they directed me to an Amish shop 3miles away.
My friend and I are in our 20s, we had a really nice time on the boat. It's not exciting, but a lot of fun, beautiful, and simply a nice time. I would say it's worth the effort.
What a great stop even a drive through some Amish communities . The cave was huge the only bummer is things are all timed so by tickets in advance we didn't get to go on animal tour
Fantastic for kids and adults alike! Good cave tour! Bring a sweater!
What a pleasant surprise. Spontaneous spot and well worth it. Well cared for. Intact preserved cave specimens. They have been doing it right for over 100 years.
The cave trip is awesome, it can be 100 up at the gift shop, starting line, and it will be chilly in the cave. The wildlife tour is ok, you get to see a lot of deer. The wolf section was totally worth the price though. It is amazing to see such animals running ( semi) free through the woods. The bears and mountain lion protion was neat as well.
I loved the cave tour, I would not pay for the children maze and I can't speak to the wildlife tour but we saw the elk on the cave tour and that was amazing and I think we were closer than the wildlife bus. The cave tours are fun and beautiful with jokes and facts for kids and adults alike.
Our group visited the cave and wildlife ride. We were 2 adults and 4 children from 14 years to 4 months. Everyone enjoyed the sights and facts of the tour. It was a bit chilly in October so we would have been more comfortable with gloves and hats on the bus tour. The cave was comfortable and neat. Our tour guide had a lot of silly puns, but his knowledge was vast and interesting.
I would do this again in warmer weather.
