The Fire Museum of Greater Chicago was started to preserve the history of the Chicago Fire Department and its neighboring communities. The museum is located at 5218 S. Western Ave former home of E-123 and A-8. It is open every last saturday of every month from 10am to 2pm. Upon requests of visitors it is available during the week as well.
