HAMOC is the first Haitian Museum of Chicago, home to Jean Baptiste Point du Sable, a Haitian regarded as the first permanent resident of what became Chicago. Out goal is to provide a space to promote Haitian history, culture, art and to create a gathering place for Chicagoans and visitors to explore Haitian art, culture, and history.
