“Asian Food & Bubble Tea”
Just north of Liberty and Main in the heart of Over-The-Rhine... We Specialize in Bubble Tea and Asian Food. If you are looking for some tasty and healthy cool drinks to keep you powered through the day then look no further... Boba Cha is super quick and convenient and the staff is incredibly friendly! So next time you are in OTR venture a tad north of Liberty and see for yourself what everyone's bubblin' about!
Ask for the Coffee Snow, AKA The Lazer. A standard snow made with coffee, vanilla ice cream, and something called "coffee jelly" that I've learned to accept without question. Everything I've had here is great--I don't think you could go wrong.
Thank you, oh almighty powers-that-be, for bringing a bubble tea place to OTR. I love Boba Cha, not just because the bubble tea is made with lots of real fruit and brown sugar, but because the owners are friendly and always ready to make suggestions.
Fun fact: if you grab one of their reward cards and make it to 100 points (not a hard feat when you try their drinks), they'll name a tea after you!
best bubble tea I've ever had!
May I repeat "try the Lazer". Coffee, vanilla ice cream and some strange coffee flavored balls at the bottom -- what's not to love?
Strawberry Snow is the SO good! There's tons of fresh strawberries in it, and it ends up being the perfect level of sweetness. Large groups take note, it does take quite a while to get your drink so it's probably a better idea to order all the same or hit the shop in smaller groups.
The staff is really friendly here, just make sure to be a little patient as everything is made to order. Really refreshing!
I was skeptical about bubble tea at first. Really? Tapioca balls? Turns out they are pretty good. They have a wide variety here, so if tapioca balls are a little too weird for you, try one without.
My personal favorite is the Honeydew bubble milk. Naturally sweet and delicious.
Their teas are delicious, especially the green tea. You can choose what level of sweetness you want as well, so I always go for 30% and it's perfect to get just a little sweetness in there but not overwhelming like a lot of other place.
The people that own Boba Cha and work there are also super friendly and always willing to let you try little sips of things if you'r undecided. Also, they're Chinese but were born and raised in Colombia, so if you speak Spanish, strike up a conversation with them en español!
I've only ever had slushes from here and they are delicious. If you only want the slush (no tapioca bubble balls in the bottom of your cup), you can order it that way - no problem! This place makes for a cool, tasty treat on a hot summer day.
I never had bubble tea until I tried this place. Now I wish it wasn't just down the street from work because I'm gonna go every day.
