Confirmed by 3 users | Last reported on August 11, 2022We enjoyed our stay. It had a wonderful view. You can fish, hike, kayak and geocache in the area. The only problem we had was ants. Make sure to spray your site well. Anything that touches the ground. We were told about them before heading out there and asked at the desk. We were told just to not keep food out, which we did. But still had ants. Made a quick trip to a nearby Dollar General and bought spray. No more problems. Attendants were very nice. Would stay again.... just will make sure to spray first

Our campsite had a beautiful view and looked well taken care of. Swimming is not allowed in the lake but you can kayak, fish, and there are trails to hike. Lots of wildlife. Seemed like a popular spot for family’s with little ones.

I stayed here for 5 days, in spot 28 I believe. The park was no where near capacity, and I did not have another RV within 100 yards of me. I had the whole loop by the lake to myself!
this park is great, and extremely clean.
I shot video, photos, and made a YouTube review to compliment my description.

Nice state park with many amenities. The campground is located along a lake and many sites have nice views of the water. We were in site 39, a full hookup site with a nice water view. At about 4:00 am, we awoke to find ants invading the trailer. The outside of the trailer was covered with thousands of ants and they were pouring into the trailer. A park employee came in the afternoon and sprayed all entry points around the trailer. We spent all day killing ants in and on our trailer. This continued sporadically over the next few days. The bathouse was clean, but very rundown. If you take ant precautions, this could be a really pleasant stay.

Not terribly crowded In late February 2023, but the sites are quite close together.
