“just a few minutes from the Mighty Mississippi”
Ooh, la la. Tour the area's grand plantation homes and their glorious gardens. Feast on authentic Cajun cooking in down-home cafes. Wind through by boat a world of bayous and swamps. Discover great finds antiquing in a nearby historic district. Visit the state capitol and a World War II destroyer. Explore Bass Pro Shops, Sam's Club, and a variety of restaurants, all within walking distance. Convenient interstate access makes it all easy to reach. It's also easy to stay here, where asphalt streets lead to concrete Pull-Thru RV Sites for even the largest rigs. Check out the Deluxe Cabins and other improvements, including the paved roads. Relax in the large in-ground hot tub and the pool with a waterfall. Kids will enjoy the playground's equipment. Or you can head to the park right next door for tennis. Pool: April 1 - October 31. Max pull thru: 100 feet.

The park is convenient to the highway and shopping, yet fairly quiet. The adjacent elementary school is a bit noisy during school hours, which is to be expected.
The staff was welcoming and helpful.
The incremental cost to provide facilities for kids is not a priority for me but I stay at KOAs for dependable accommodations.

Stayed mid-Jan 2022.
Easy checkin. Very very nice folks! Would stay again.
Felt safe, quiet, and comfortable.
Construction on campground is distracting.
Nice putt-putt course. Propane on-site. Well-stocked store. Good laundry facilities.
Our site was a bit tight but overall a great site with shade, cable, level paved site, and maintained really well.
Close to lots of restaurants, gas, shopping, etc if that is what you need.
Construction on the campground (took a star off because of it):
It was frustrating to have undisclosed construction going on during the week, because we do work weekdays and loud construction crews and trucks do cause a good amount of noise. Honestly, we might not have stayed here, if we knew about the construction noise ahead of time. If that is helpful, take the advice for what it is worth.

We stayed here 4 nights and enjoyed every minute. The Jacuzzi was clean and close to us. The spots were spacious. Laundry was clean. We enjoyed the park in back. This was home base as we drove to New Orleans and Jean Lafitte National Historical Park.

Very friendly staff, clean park. We didn’t use the game room but looked inside and lots to do there. We were impressed. Highway noise a little loud.

What a great place for families and couples! The grandkids had a great time - putt-putt golf was so much fun. Dog park, pool, covered area for large groups, AND the check in process was quick and super helpful! Oh and there’s a general store! Nice park to go on walks! We cannot wait to come back!

We only stayed overnight. Never stayed at a KOA before, thought the sites were a little close, but not like some RV parks. Level concrete pad, easy hookups but a little far from RV connections. Best shower in a long time with good pressure. Friendly folks at checkin and a guy led me to my site and helped me park. Had a 30' motorhome and pulled a Subaru, but didn't have to unhook for a one night stay. Wifi was useful.

We stayed here on our way to Florida and we’re very pleased with the facilities that we decided to stay again on our way back to Texas. Very clean and the staff very friendly and the dog park was perfect for 3 Great Dane doodles I highly recommend this KOA

Again we picked this site because we wanted full hookups on our RV trip, some comforts of life. The campground was easy to access, about 3 miles from the highway, and the staff well organized, our site was concrete and leveled with Electric, Water, Sewer, and cable. The campground has a pool, mini golf, clubhouse, laundry, and two bathhouses. The campground is close to major restaurants, supermarkets and stores. Wi-Fi was available, but very slow. Did not use the satellite dish, because cable was available, but the sites have some shade, and is possible to set up a satellite antenna. Biggest downside of this campground the elementary school next door. Put it this way, only quiet on the weekend! The campground super clean, we had a patio table with 4 chairs, no fire ring.

Stayed here for one night because it was close to food. Its also close to a school. Extremely close, we were awoken to horns honking in the drop off lane. You could see them less than 20 feet away through the chain link fence. Its not shown on the KOA brochure that they hand out. It's where the Legend is printed, the pretty picture of people swimming yeah thats a school. We checked in about 6 after being stuck on the interstate for an hour for a week to clear. The lone employee in the store was gossiping with a resident about someone being allowed to use the pool early. Another guest came in and said that the internet didn't work. The employee said "everyone has gone home for the day it will have to wait". I said for $55 you should provide wifi. the gossiping resident looked at her phone and said the wifi was down. I guilt tripped her into eventually calling "junior". It was a broken concrete pad with no privacy and they charged us the same price they charge for spaces two times the size. Total rip off. Shabby amenities, dirty pool tables.
