Most people here are long term. We had a very good nights sleep and the little store was nice. At first it seemed too close to the feed lots and the train but no problem. There are some unsightly things around but the people were fine!

This campground is located south of the railroad tracks and town and very close to Wyatt Earp Blvd. It is a large campground with large, grass, full hook-up campsites. The roads coming in are dirt and fairly bumpy. The office/store is open till 6:00 pm for arrivals, but a phone number is provided if arriving later. The campground includes more permanent residents and short-term camping spots. The campground has no amenities apart from the store and laundry. The Arkansas River once flowed near this campground and the town. The locals explained the CO/KS issue regarding the River. Today, a dry bed runs through town, and there appeared to be no reservoirs in or near Dodge City. Our favorite thing about this campground was the location. Our second best thing was watching children in the campground riding their bikes, playing with each other, and enjoying a simpler life. Dodge City has a nice, new dog park which is great since the campground's grass includes stickers.

$24 for full hookups! Sites are large and pretty level. Shower house is clean. My wife did say the women’s smelled like smoke. There were some sketchy looking “regulars “ hanging around. Very basic, but just what we needed for a night.

We liked this park not only for the price but even though its old everything works well. Bathrooms were a little outdated but spotless, I got a great shower. Roads are dirt, sites are grass but good full hookups ( watchout for goatheads)hey for 24 bucks a nite we were satisfied and will stay again as we have relatives in the area

Park is now Riverside RV Park under new owners. Very friendly staff. Bathrooms freshly painted and spotless but older. Sites are grass, wide, and $31.60 (with GS discount) for full hookups. Lots to see in town even in off season. Would stay again to see summer activities.

The area where this park is located is probably scary for some. This is mostly utilized for long term stays. This is not a tourist town in my viewpoint but a working class town employing over 4000 in the Beef industry. And numerous of those folks have to live in RV’s. Along with the rv park there is mobile home park with older units. The area where we were camped is a big open piece of ground with grass and gravel lots. And the lots are very generous. 50/30 amp hookups, water and sewer. I’m guessing they have these services year round as all of the water spigot were wrapped in heat tape and insulted already. There was a lot of ground around the park to walk our dogs. The down side of this was that there was a nasty weed whose small seed pods had very sharp and hard spikes. Ow! Both for the dogs and us. Price was $34 for as single night. The staff was friendly but forgot to give me the code to the restrooms . And when I went to check them out and they were locked it was too late as the staff leaves at 6 pm. Overall it was a quiet, level, spot.
The highlight of our over night stay was the street tacos we bought and ate. Cheap, authentic, tasty.

We called to reserve a spot and were told $45. When we got there, no one was there, and the door said $34 for 2 people, $2 each additional person over age five. We called the number on the door and it was a different person, but she was very, very nice. She said park anywhere, so we parked across the street from the office. After we parked we noticed there was no table or fire pit at that one, but that was fine. It was very quiet, we felt safe, there is a park maybe a block away from the office. The reason I marked the stars low was because of the inconsistency in the prices we were told. There was also a horrible smell, but I think it was nearby farms spraying their fields. It was pretty bed though. Overall I would stay here overnight again in a pinch, it was good to fill the water tank, but I wouldn't make this my destination or spend an extended time camping here.
