Joe's Diner

Meet Joe Bushfan, Owner and Operator of Joe's Diner at 2100 Angier Avenue in East Durham, North Carolina.  Joe is a former bodyguard to celebrities including Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston, Allen Iverson and Earth Wind & Fire.   He grew up in Boston's Roxbury neighborhood where he was neighbors with Bobby Brown.  Bobby Brown of course  went on to pop music fame with New Edition and along the way he hired Joe to handle security.  From there Joe's storied career in security was launched.   Today Joe lives in Durham with his wife, Superior Court Judge Elaine Bushfan, who he met at an Earth Wind and Fire Concert in Raleigh!  Upon settling in Durham, Joe decided to open up his own hot dog business after seeing a need for good quality 'dogs like the ones he had growing up.   He started with a cart which remains in operation today.  Joe's dream  is to revitalize his corner of East Durham by bringing together folks from all backgrounds to enjoy a comfortable atmosphere and the hot dogs he loved growing up.
