“Not your typical winery.”
Thrall & Dodge Winery is the oldest commercial operating winery in the Kittitas Valley located north of the Yakima Valley near Ellensburg. Please enjoy our website and hope that you will try one of our premium wines grown, produced, cellared, and served all from the Columbia Valley AVA. Located South of Ellensburg and just east of the Yakima River, the Thrall & Dodge Winery is perched just above the 1500 foot level of the Manastash Ridge in the scenic Edgemont area. This area is known as the fruit basket of Kittitas Valley. The winery enjoys a regional view looking out to the Valley and the Stuart Mountain Range. Thrall & Dodge Winery is not your typical winery. In fact the winery is a very inconspicuous place. No glitz here but a warm welcoming easy going place where ......Good Wines meet Good Times. The small family-run winery supports the aspects of producing hand crafted wine. We are personally involved in every step of the wine making process from grape selection, transportation, crushing, fermentation, pressing, barreling and bottling to packing and shipping. Aged to the optimum quality and taste, the wines enjoy a natural environment with the year-round average temperature just above 50 degrees. The barrel room holds all of our barrels and bottled wines for aging until it is ready. Only than do we pull the wine out for tasting or delivery. Thrall & Dodge Winery is a fun and casual destination where you will discover free wine tasting of all of our varietal wines, great rustic atmosphere, and a personal touch attended by one of our family members. Sometimes you will be able to enjoy a moment with the winemaker in between his constant chores of producing great wines. Roam the grounds, play Bocce Ball on our champion court, and enjoy our picnic areas. For special events and have an event area for use and sometimes music in the stage area. Come join us for a introduction and enjoy our seasonal wine tasting shack with views of Ellensburg and the Stuart Range off in the distance. You will always find a friendly and knowledgeable person to serve you. Whether you're just beginning to discover the world of wines or are a seasoned wine taster, you're sure to feel welcome as you taste our many distinct wines.
