The Dorothy Molter Museum preserves and interprets northwoods wilderness heritage through learning opportunities inspired by Dorothy Molter, the last non-indigenous resident of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) The Dorothy Molter Museum is located on the south side of Hwy 169 on the east end of Ely, MN. Guided tours are available daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day, weekends in September and the first three Saturdays in Oct.
