Downtown features "Art Walk" the 3rd Friday of every month March thru September from 5:30pm-8:30pm. Live music; local artists selling their work; food vendors and store sales. This event is appropriate for all ages! Park the car and walk around to discover this beach side town that specializes in customer service.

It is beyond doubt worth visiting Downtown Fort Walton Beach. It looks like a collection of buildings hosting different attractions. The kids were fascinated when we visited the Painting Vine after our walk to the Harbor! They created their own souvenir canvas while my wife and I enjoyed a glass of red wine from the wine bar. We enjoyed the walk at the Heritage Park as it was full of charming vegetation and bronze statues. Families and couples were passing by, including their dogs! Got some rest at the park benches and left for the car park. Couldn't resist getting inside the Cupcakery before leaving the place! What an enormous amount of cupcake flavors in such an adorable little store tucked in downtown Fort Walton Beach. I may admit it was a hard decision for me to choose which cupcake I would prefer most..! Great family times! We will definitely re-visit.
