Lake Palestine Resort

We booked a three night stay to visit my parents before heading back to El Paso. Check in was super easy and the host was very helpful. We had a bunch of questions about the site and the resort which she was extremely patient with. While setting up there was a hookup problem which they took care of so fast, I didn’t even finish hooking up and they were done.

-Easy reservation
-Great Staff
-Security is on-site and very active. We felt very safe.
-Easy camp setup
-Amazing views looking over the lake morning and evening.
-Boat ramp and parking is very convenient.
-The cabins are super cool
-Very relaxing, especially along the water.
-The restaurant is very good for lunch and cooling off with a “cold one”
-There is LIVE MUSIC in the summer and some weekends in the off season.

CONs (none of these should be used as anything other than expectation management.)

-no Wi-Fi around the resort. There is some at the store with very limited range. In today’s tech world, it would be very easy to install.
-Boats cannot be left in slips along dock overnight. Some belong to the boat rental and the others for customers getting bait, food, etc.
-There is not a pad to put your rig on. Not a big deal, but it is a resort and the site we were in is getting wallowed out.
