The dictionary defines a foodie as “a person keenly interested in food, especially in eating or cooking.” That sums us up perfectly. Foodie = FOODE. We just spell our version a little differently.The philosophy at FOODE is simple: we believe that the freshest, cleanest ingredients make the best dishes. We also believe in supporting the local community by highlighting the products grown and harvested right here in this region. We have fantastic, organically- grown vegetables from Washington’s Birthplace, heirloom produce from Spotsylvania County, organic beef, free-range chickens, and hormone free eggs from Gladys, VA, along with other great ingredients from across Virginia that we proudly serve every day at our restaurant. We’re happy to report that, on any given day, we source between 85% to 90% of the food we serve at FOODE from the local farms and merchants we are honored to work with.Come in and see us at 1006 Caroline Street / 22401. Was so disappointed, chicken bloody even after sending it back to the kitchen and my husband had a huge long black hair in his plate under the fries won't be back
