Scenic River Tours, Inc. has been under the same ownership and management since 1977. We are a family owned and operated adventure company operating in the Gunnison, Crested Butte, Montrose and Lake City areas of the Western Slope of Colorado. We strive to show our guests the beauty and adventure of the Gunnison Valley in a safe, professional and friendly manner. All of our guides are trained in CPR and First Aid ( many are EMT or WFR certified ) and exceed Colorado’s training requirements for commercial guides. Many of our guides and office staff have been with us season after season because they love their job and work environment! We specialize in guided rafting, fishing and rock climbing adventures on the Gunnison, Taylor, Lake Fork, San Miguel, Rio Grande and Colorado rivers. We have trips ranging from half day to 3 days in length. We use the best equipment available and are constantly updating all our equipment, gear and training to ensure your satisfaction and safety. Our main office is in downtown Gunnison and we have a second office right on the Taylor River at mile marker 7.5, just above Harmel’s Guest Ranch. Both locations have gifts, t-shirts & hats, souvenirs and photos of your adventure available for purchase. The Gunnison office also carries a large selection of many major brands of river gear, rafts, inflatable kayaks, oars, paddles and equipment for sale. We also rent inflatable kayaks and stand up paddleboards (SUPs) for unguided use, as well as other equipment rentals.
