Plymouth County Hospital

Plymouth County Hospital, also known as Hanson Tuberculous Hospital is located in Hanson, Ma. This hospital is by far one of the best abandon places I've seen. This hospital was originally a Tuberculous hospital in 1923 for the victims of TB in the Boston area. After this outburst of TB died down the hospital changed names into a regular hospital. In 1982 the hospitals purposed changed again to a specialty hospital and the name changed again to Cranberry Specialty Hospital. In 1992 all of the 60 patients left were shipped off to another hospital. The hospital was opened for 91 years. In 2013 this buildings condition is rough to say the least. The hospital has been a victim of arson and vandalism for over 20 years.  To get into this hospital I have a few recommendations. I advise you start with parking at the baseball park down the street. There is a newly built police station within about 2 minutes of this hospital and they do in fact patrol the hospital frequently. If you walk toward the hospital from the park you'll find that there's a pathway in the woods that will bring you to the hospital. Note: do not yell the people who live around there have no problem calling the cops. Also the buildings out front that look somewhat like abandon houses are not abandon at all and the owner of the hospital is there often. Be careful. Once you find the hospital you need to jump the fence. The easiest way is to try to lift up the bottom and slide under because the top can be sharp. To get into the hospital you can find there's a few open windows and doors. Good luck.
