“Combining Idaho's favorite museums”
"The Museums" is the term referring to the combination of The Pappy Boyington Field Museum and The Hayden Museum. Both museums share the same location at 1600 W. Wyoming Ave. in Hayden, Idaho but serve two different purposes. The Pappy Boyington Field Museum is dedicated to preserving local aviation history and the efforts of local veterans who have sacrificed and contributed to preserving the integrity and peace to which the United States has been graced. The Hayden Museum specializes in the history of the region of Hayden Lake. It includes, although not exclusively, the area East of Hayden Lake to the area West of Pappy Boyington Field/ CdA Airport, South to Coeur d"Alene and North to Henley Aerodrome/ Silverwood, Hackney Field, Bayview/Lakeview and the famous Farragut Naval Training station of World War II fame. This is an effort that is less than 1 year old but is accelerating at an increasing rate as area residents understand the importance of these museums for future generations.
