Interesting museum but don't be fooled by the picture on road trippers (because that is not the Sternberg.) You won't see any large terrestrial dinosaur fossils but they do have some incredible and fairly large aquatic dinosaur and terrestrial mammal fossils. We were a bit let down because we thought we'd see T. rex and we thought the museum would be bigger.

Great displays for all ages, the upstairs display (thru the cave) was a favorite. ASTC membership reciprocal entry.

Awesome stop. We never would have thought it would be so much fun but it really was. We pulled off the highway to stretch our legs. We spent over an hour up and walking around which was must needed. Awesome photo op and was only $8 to get in

Fantastic place!!! Highly recommend the stop. One of the best places we stopped on our trip. It is small but what they have, they display and explain really well. This is not the smithsonian but it is a treasure!

About a 1.5 hour stop if you're not going to read all the signs. They had quite a large collection of fossils, including some large aquatic animals. There were also live animals, including each species of rattlesnake native to the US.

As a geologist, this is a great museum to spend an hour or two looking at rocks and fossils. Exhibit descriptions are easy to comprehend for most ages.
