“A well-kept gem of Hilton Head”
A well-kept gem of Hilton Head, the Coligny Beach Park has a wonderful boardwalk, beautiful sandy beaches, and the gentle waves of the ocean. Lifeguards are on duty, and families can rent chairs and umbrellas in case you need a little break from the sun.
Although it seemed like a decent beach park, it was hugely overcrowded on a cold, wet Spring day. I can't imagine what it's like in the heat of Summer when it's actually desirable to be at the beach! It costs you $1.25 to get on the island, $8 to explore, and then an additional $1.25 to leave the island. Then, you can hardly find a parking spot for the beach, lighthouse, etc. There are other free beaches off the island that personally I'd rather go to. Save your money and skip this place unless you like crowds and blowing money.
Nice park. I would have skipped this and saved myself the drive over to the island. Beach was ok
