“Crime Scene Home”

This place is on private property. Listing for informational purposes only. Please do not visit without express permission from the land owner. This house was the sight of the very first Albert Fish murder. Albert Fish admitted to molesting and torturing over 400 children, as well as killing and cannibalizing several. After a six year long investigation, Fish was caught and exhibited at Sing Sing prison on January 16th 1936. Fish was caught by Detective William King, when the mother of victim, Grace Budd received an anonymous letter detailing the abduction, torture, murder, and cannibalization of her daughter. The letter head was traced to the flophouse where Fish was staying, and his lifetime of terror came to an end.

The review below me said he could not find the residence. It is right on the road. If you use Google Earth and go to street of the eastern end of Mountain Street/Road in Irvington, NY, you can't miss it. It still looks just like the picture in the newspapers. Probably gutted on the inside to make room for modernization. But, it is a pretty place on the outside. I understand it was up for sale back in 2015. Google Earth has the house number as 247 instead of 357, but that may be the house across the street from it. Google Earth also has 357 as up the hill behind the actual house. Sometimes the city will change numbers to provide security for a residence such as in the case of the house from "The Amityville Horror". Amityville city changed the house nubmerse and owners changed the window frames facing the street. But, that did not help keep tourists away. Wisteria Cottage looks the same today as it did in the 1920's.

Went trekking threw all the woods by where it's marked and couldn't find anything. If it does exist it's extremely hard to find
