The Inn at Oak Street

A luxury B&B in the historic Riverside area, the Inn at Oak Street is just 2 miles from downtown Jax, but worlds away. The Inn's 6,000-square-foot main house has an eclectic, upscale ambience -- no tchotchkes or clutter are found here. Instead, it just has peace, quiet, and a bit of chic too, with chandeliers; and silk, linen, and bamboo window treatments; and touches of exposed brick. Guest rooms are spacious, with a funky mix of antiques and reproductions fused with modern comforts such as fine linens, a wine fridge, and flatscreen TVs with DVD players. Three units have balconies, and one (the Boudoir) has a gas fireplace. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house -- even on the 70-foot wraparound front porch on which we recommend you enjoy your full gourmet breakfast with a menu that changes daily. Private bathrooms have whirlpool spa tubs, Italian fixtures, and fantastic bath products. Every night in the parlor, guests can enjoy wine hour, or just chill out in the tranquil spa room.
